Graham Norton & I first worked together on the old Radio 5 in 1993. He was Simon Fanshawe’s sidekick on a weekly arts show I produced called Sunday Brunch. I then took him with me to Loose Ends as a reporter when I moved to produce the Radio 4  Saturday morning chat show. In 1995 I moved to Radio 1 & Graham went from success to success. In 1998 Graham won his first TV Comedy Award, standing in for Jack Docherty on his Channel 5 Show. He thanked me on stage for our early work together and we re-connected, with an offer to write on his new Channel 4 Show. I became part of the team devising desk and insert items, & spent a lot of time researching unhealthy habits and pastimes online. The series I worked on in 1999 & 2000 won British Comedy and British Academy Television Awards.
