The Day The Music Died was a topical comedy series about the music business for Radio 2. I devised and produced the show working closely with its’ presenter Andrew Collins and comedians Jon Holmes & Robin Ince. Having spent a long time working with Radio DJ’s and on Music Radio I wanted the show to reflect that world and the reality of most radio listening in the UK. One of the the most enjoyable part was making the spoof trails and ads with our hugely gifted writing team Joel Morris & Jason Hazeley.

There was the trail Radio 2 wouldn’t let us broadcast –

And Call My Reggae Bluff in which contestants decide which word is a sunny Jamaican greeting, and which a homophobic hate crime –

The Day The Music Died ran for 6 series between 2003 & 2007.
